  • Feeling Minnesota, looking California! My August Moon book tour is hitting the west coast. I'll be joined on this west coast tour by Dana Fredsti, ex-B-movie actress, cat-lover, fascinating charmer, and mystery author. Her current book is the hilarious The Peruvian Pigeon.
    • On Wednesday, May 21, we'll be at M Is for Mystery in San Mateo, California, at 7:00 pm.
    • On May 24 (which is incidentally my birthday), we'll be signing at Murder by the Book in Portland, Oregon, from 11-1. We're also swinging by the Lloyd Center Barnes & Noble to sign stock of our books. From 3-5, we'll be meeting, greeting, and signing at the Olympia, Washington, Borders.
    • Sunday, May 25 will find us at the downtown Seattle Borders from 11-1 pm.

    • MINNESOTA

  • Hello, St. Cloud! On Wednesday, June 4, I'll be at the St. Cloud Barnes & Noble at 7:00 with the Resort to Murder! If you attend, you can look forward to a laugh-filled and sometimes frightening reading, a signing where you can ask questions of some of your favorite crime writers, and possibly s'mores and little weenies on sticks. Welcome, summer!
  • I return to my hometown of Paynesville on Thursday, June 5, for a 4-6 pm signing at Ben Around Books. Author Bob Cushman, my old high school guidance counselor, will also be there signing copies of his poignant books. I think I'm going to make it a point to have guidance counselors at all my future signings. Come for a book and some direction in your life. The first five people to buy a copy of August Moon at this event will get a free, signed copy of Knee High by the Fourth of July.
  • Thursday, June 12, I'll be giving a presentation on "Writing and Publishing a Novel," with a special mystery twist, at the Moorhead Public Library at 6:30.
  • Saturday, June 14, I'll be at Victor Lundeen's in Fergus Falls from 12-2. Same day, different time (4-6), I'll be at Book World in Alexandria.
  • Thursday, June 19, I'm signing at the beautiful Fitger's Bookstore in Duluth from 6:00-7:30. Stop by if you're in town for the marathon!
  • Friday, June 20, I'll be at Duluth Barnes & Noble from 4-6.
  • Saturday, June 21, the very first day of summer, I've saved especially for Battle Lake, where all the magic started. Stop by the newly-remodeled Village Apothecary to say "hi" between 2 and 4.
  • Consider yourself invited to the Saturday, June 28 12-2, AUGUST MOON LAUNCH PARTY at Once Upon a Crime, the best mystery store in Minnesota. Authentic central-Minnesota food will be served, including jello with Cool Whip, 3.2 beer, and Easy Cheese. Embrace your roots and join the fun!
  • At 6:00 pm the same night (June 28), I'll be signing at the Maplewood Barnes & Noble.
  • Sunday, June 29, will find me at the Linden Hill Author Tea Retreat in Little Falls, and I'm thrilled! Apparently, I get to hang out with people who like tea, books, and restored, turn-of-the-century houses.
  • Saturday, July 12, I'll be at Sister Wolf Books in Dorset from 5-7.

  • On Saturday, June 7, I'll be at Booked for Murder in Madison, Wisconsin, from 12-2 along with Deb Baker and Victoria Houston. Stay tuned for updates.
